The sky when it snows is absolutely perfect. It can be 1 o’clock in the morning and bright outside. The silence of everything when it snows is beautiful. You can barely hear a sound when the snow covers everything. Just watching the snow fall and stick to the ground is beautiful. Yeah I guess it sucks that it’s cold and you have to shovel it out, but coming in from the cold and putting on warm clothes, sitting in the heat, and drinking hot chocolate is so relaxing. I miss the snow so much.

This blog is a new project to glorify the beauty of my neighbourhood’s graffiti. Gentrification is on its way, and it’s ugly. The blog’s in French but there’s some nice street art to appreciate.

This graffiti basically says ‘Fuck patriarchy’

Okay, right, it’s the only picture on the blog for the moment but the queue has some good stuff in it! I swear^^

Please stop calling this a nation of immigrants. We are not a nation of immigrants. We are a nation of colonizers, ex-slaves, ghosts of genocide victims, and preferred immigrants.

Whats been happening in Scotland for those who don't know

kiradax:

Scotland has been building up to voting on whether they should become Independent from the United Kingdom since 2012, the Idea’s been in the works since the ’50s. Yes voters want to be independent, No voters want to stay in the UK.

The parties backing Yes are the snp, the…

This beluga whale is awesome! I want to be friends with him :3

No, this is not awesome.

That is aggressive behavior and the beluga is trying to get the little kids to go away. Please do not romanticize captivity; belugas do poorly in human care and it’s extremely cruel.

This is so fucked up. It’s not the children’s fault but how can everyone else be so blind to this? The beluga was clearly agitated and stressed. This is an atrocious video.

Argentina: doing it right. After passing a groundbreaking gender identity law on Wednesday, Argentina, which became the first Latin American country to legalize same-sex marriage, now leads the entire world when it comes to trans rights.

The new law, which was passed by 55-0 and is expected to be signed by president Cristina Fernandez, grants trans people the right to legally change their gender identity without having to get approval from doctors or judges–and, importantly, without having to change their bodies at all first. Not having a valid ID that matches your gender identity is a huge barrier to access to education, employment, health care, you name it. As Kalym Sori, an Argentinian trans man said, “This is why the law of identity is so important. It opens the door to the rest of our rights.”
